Dear Mr Wilson,

I am writing to request your approval for leaving early before the end of the semester. This is because I have some urgent events in my family and it is very important for me to attend.

Let me explain my situation in more detail. My elder sister is getting married, for which I am responsible to carry out many tasks. Usually, in our tradition, arrangement for marriage takes quite some days, and there is no one to assist my parents. Although I had asked to reschedule the date which would be convenient for me to attend, due to some regional reason that is not possible.

I will ensure that there will not be any effects on my academic performance. I have already checked with the academic calendar that during the last 3 weeks of the current semester, sports events will be going on without any academic lectures. So it will not affect my study much.
