Nowadays, it is increasingly common for the government to demolish old buildings and build new ones in its place. While some people argue that old buildings should be replaced with new ones, others do not. I completely disagree with this notion and this essay will elaborate on both sides of the argument.

On the one hand, old buildings like mosque, temples and museums are built with ancient architecture and also represents our culture and tradition. Hence these buildings should be renovated and preserved instead of destroying them. Maintaining such buildings can act as a great tourist place attracting a large number of visitors which in turn contributes to the revenue for the nation. For instance, the Indian government recently renovated the Charminar building present in Hyderabad and upon renovation, it became one of the most sought after tourist attractions in the country and greatly contributed to the country's tourism revenue.

On the other hand, From my perspective, the ancient buildings which require a lot of maintenance and a surplus amount of money for its renovation should be demolished. Furthermore, they should be replaced by new buildings like educational institutes, health centres or shopping malls which would be beneficial for people can be built in its place.

In conclusion, In my view, old buildings which does not require much money for renovation and maintenance can be preserved by the government instead of demolishing them although if its cost of renovating is considerably high then it is worth demolishing them and that money can be spent on building a new one instead.

Most nations around the world have at least some, or possibly many old historical buildings such as temples, churches, houses and etcetera. Many people believe that the government should have to change the building into a new building. I think in a reverse manner and disagree with the given statement. My inclination is justified in the following paragraph.

Out of all the argument, the strongest one to prove my view is demolishing all the old buildings and build a new structure is not the possible way in a given time at any place. It is believed that the old buildings represent our culture and our tradition. It shows us how people many centuries ago lived their lives. Without them, we could only learn by books and it's very undoubtedly sad that if this were the only way to see them. Also, these buildings are very beautiful and some parts of cities are heritage location preservation which is mandatory for us if we wish to take pride in our culture and tradition. However, it designed many centuries ago and now it needs is little changes in maintenance but it is totally wastage of money that can be used for all other kinds of infrastructure development.

On the contrary, there is no doubt that the old structure needs a lot more maintenance. I believe that old buildings can be protected in tandem with progress. For example, in many circumstances, we see old historic buildings being renovated and maintaining their original character and is used for modern purpose. By studying and learning about history, we understand about the world we live in, and it helps in our future too.

To conclude, I believe that it is very important to protect old buildings as we can learn about our history. Such knowledge can also help us to understand how to modernize our counties in the best way.
