Speaking Part 2 (Cue Card)

Question :

Describe a situation where you helped an old person You should say: When did you help? Where did you help? How did you help? and explain how you felt about it?

Answer:

Well, receiving help and giving it to others is one of the social activity that we do often. Here I'd like to talk about a situation when I helped a person who had been waiting to cross the heavy traffic road for an hour. I vividly remembered that when I was heading towards my office I noticed an old person standing on the other side of the road with the aim of passing the street. Initially, I offered him help to cross the road, but unfortunately, he refused it by saying that he doesn't like to depend on others. Then I assisted him to use an alternate way of passing the road by pointing towards the subway. Before he uses one, he thanked me and told me that he came the first time in this area. He had also shared his valuable life-experience and he is suffering from Cancer. Though he undergoing such a chronic disease, he is a tough cookie because he is strong and hoping to be fit as a fiddle. I felt very happy and realise that such a small gesture of love, such as helping others give happiness not only the receiver but also the giver.
