You are studying English at a private language school attended by many international students. You are planning a surprise birthday party for a friend who has been feeling particularly sad and homesick. Write to another classmate and invite him or her to the party. In your letter:

Explain the reason for the party.

Give the date and time of the party.

Suggest what the classmate could bring to the party.

Dear John,

How are you? I'm writing to invite you to the surprise birthday party of Wilson. You know very well that he feels lonely, always seems to be gloomy and doesn't mingle with others, so I'm throwing a party so he will feel better.

Let me give you details about the party. Even though his birthday is on Sunday, it is a good idea if we celebrate it on Saturday night from 11:30 pm onwards. Place for a meeting before visit his house is in central park, then all of us will head to his flat. It would be exciting for him.

Well, Although I've already ordered a cake, we should buy a gift to him for which every one of us will contribute to it, so bring some cash with you. If possible please get the candles and matchbox, as these are not coming with cake.
